man stressed looking at piles of paperworkWhen you file a personal bankruptcy, there is a significant amount of paperwork that must be filed with the court. Your initial pleadings disclose your assets, debts, income, and expenses. We assist you with completing the required paperwork, and help ensure you make full financial disclosure. Below is a list of many of the documents that will be filed in your case:

  • the bankruptcy petition;
  • a list of all your creditors called the Creditor Matrix;
  • a list of all your real and personal property;
  • a list of all your secured and unsecured debts; a list of all of your leases and unexpired contracts;
  • a list of all of your codebtors;
  • a list of your current income and expenses; and
  • a statement of your financial affairs

The above pleadings are collectively referred to as a debtor’s petition and bankruptcy schedules. It is vital that you review all of the above pleadings after we prepare them to confirm they are true and correct before they are filed with the court.
