Everyone Deserves a Fresh Start: Our Mission is To Help Achieve It

At Leiderman Shelomith Alexander + Somodevilla, PLLC, our goal is to facilitate the effective resolution of all legal matters in connection with bankruptcy/insolvency and student loan law issues. We believe every individual and every business faced with financial trouble deserves a chance at financial success. We handle each case personally, providing a high-level of service at a reasonable price.

Our representation is focused on solving problems through the effective use of the laws applicable to each situation. We offer practical, concrete solutions and leave no stone unturned in accomplishing our goal of helping clients facing bankruptcy/insolvency and student loan law issues.

With experience in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, Chapter 13, and other chapters of the Bankruptcy Code, clients can count on our legal team to see their bankruptcy through regardless of developments after filing. We also provide advice on alternatives to bankruptcy, including Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors, debt negotiation, as well as assistance with student loan debts, which are dischargeable in bankruptcy under very limited circumstances. To the extent that our clients’ student loan debts are not dischargeable in bankruptcy, we offer clear and concrete solutions to manage that debt, and potentially eliminate that debt through other programs or legal means.

While our main practice is focused on bankruptcy, insolvency, and student loan law issues, as a compliment to those services, we also provide real estate representation to our clients on an as needed basis, including title services.

Our dedicated focus on these few areas of law ensures that we are familiar with all steps of the legal processes affecting the parties involved.  We represent parties on all sides in bankruptcy proceedings, including:

  • Debtors, including consumer and business debtors
  • Creditors
  • Bankruptcy trustees
  • Creditors’ committees
  • Assignees
  • Assignors
  • Receivers

If you have a problem, our firm wants to be the firm you trust to help provide a personalized solution.

Our firm has one of the highest numbers of confirmed individual Chapter 11 plans in the Southern District of Florida.  Members of our legal team hold executive positions on the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, and our attorneys possess diverse educational backgrounds, including business degrees.  The unparalleled business and legal experience of our legal team ensures that clients can be confident of the effective, responsible, and efficient representation they will receive.
